Covid-19 Protocols

I am fully vaccinated according to the most recent CDC guidelines and my preference is that my clients are vaccinated as well.  Since I do spend time in the homes of vulnerable folks, I will wear a mask while I am inside your home when the community risk level is High (according to the Washtenaw County Health Department website).  I also practice CDC recommended hygeine guidelines regarding handwashing and sanitizing.

Naturally, if you prefer that I mask while in your home regardless of the WCHD posted risk level, I will cheerfully honor your preference.

Code of Ethics

  • I will serve my clients with integrity, competence, and objectivity, and will treat them with respect and courtesy.

  • I will offer services in those areas in which I am qualified and will accurately represent those qualifications in both verbal and written communications.

  • When unable or unqualified to fulfill requests for services, I will make every effort to recommend the services of other qualified professional organizers, productivity consultants and/or other qualified professionals.

  • I will advertise my services in an honest manner and will represent the organizing and productivity profession accurately.

  • I will keep confidential all client information, both business and personal, including that which may be revealed by other professional organizers and productivity consultants.

  • I will use proprietary client information only with the client’s permission.

  • I will keep client information confidential and not use it to benefit myself or my firm, or reveal this information to others.


Sample Service Agreement

Thank you for choosing At Ease At Home, LLC  as a partner to help you regain control and find peace and joy in your space. Before we begin work together, it is important to review the following terms, as it is helpful when both parties are clear on expectations.  As a Professional Organizing and cleaning business we value you and your growth in the process.  Your confidentiality and trust are of the utmost importance.  Listed below are our terms of service that define our process and service.  
The personal information of and in possession of the Client will be treated confidentially and with respect at all times.  During the course of our service we may come across items of a private or personal nature.  No personal or private information is ever shared with anyone else.  This includes name, address, phone number.  The only time your contact information will be shared with a third party is in a circumstance where it is required to complete a project at your request.  You will be asked for permission before this information is shared.
Payment Terms 
Payment is due the day services are rendered unless multiple sessions are scheduled for one week, in which case payment is due on Friday of week in which the work was completed.  Payments can be made in the following ways: 
Cash – paid directly on site
Check – paid directly on site or sent via USPS – written to Sapient Daisy, LLC
Credit or Debit Card – paid online through QuickBooks, our invoicing software
Bank Transfer – initiated online through QuickBooks, our invoicing software
Venmo – sent to @suziefest
Paypal – sent to
Receipts and invoices are emailed the day the work is performed.  
The agreed rate is $_____ per hour. This rate expires at the time regular scheduled appointments cease. 
Returned checks or declined charges will incur a return fee of $50 payable to Sapient Daisy, LLC and the same reserves the right to deny future services, require cash payments or pay-in-advance terms if such an event occurs.  If payment is not made, including any additional return fees, within 30 days we reserve all rights to seek compensation due in court or may turn delinquencies to collection agencies as we see fit. 
Checks should be made to Sapient Daisy, LLC. 
A 50% deposit is requested on all Estimated projects.
Process Ownership 
Regarding the editing, sorting, and organizing of items, the Client maintains process ownership.  At Ease At Home recognizes items as the sole property of the Client, and though efforts will be made to help reduce the volume of belongings when necessary, it is hereby stated that the final decision on such matters belongs to the Client. 
Project Outcomes 
Project outcomes depend on the Client’s willingness to participate in the process; sorting, editing, and donating when necessary. Long-term maintenance of organization hinges on the Client’s commitment to maintaining the order, and quantity of items in the space.
Supplies and Shopping Assistance 
At Ease At Home will either make suggestions about necessary supplies to be purchased and the Client will complete the shopping OR per the Client’s request, At Ease At Home will shop for and purchase the supplies, making certain they are delivered to the Client’s location.  Clients are responsible for all agreed-upon supplies (file folders, labels, shevling, containers, hooks, etc.) necessary for completion of the project and the fee for shopping and returns.  The standard hourly rate will apply for all shopping and returns.  Receipts for funds spent on Client’s behalf will be presented with the invoice. 
Cancellation Policy 
Due to the high demand in our business, a last minute cancellation often results in lost income and time for the Organizer.  Due to this irreplaceable loss, we require a minimum of 48-hours notice of cancelation.  
Any appointments cancelled within fewer than 48-hours prior to appointment time will incur a cancellation fee of $50.

No show appointments will incur at $100 fee, regardless of the number of hours scheduled.
Hands-on organizing sessions begin at the scheduled time, even if the Client is delayed.
At Ease At Home reserves the right to waive fees for special circumstances.  To do so is at our sole discretion and does not in any way alter or waive any portion of this Agreement.  We do, however, understand that emergencies happen and therefore allows each client one grace pass per calendar year to reschedule without penalty.  There is no grace pass for no-show appointments.  
If late cancelations become routine, At Ease At Home reserves the right to expect payment in advance for entire session, or refuse future services altogether. 
Disruption of Service
At Ease At Home reserves the right to terminate this Agreement for the following reasons: 
  • Repeated cancelations and rescheduling
  • Client or family members engage in disruptive, threatening or violent behavior, which can include but is not limited to yelling, verbal abuse, threats (outright or implied)
  • Non-payment
  • Unsafe or unsanitary working conditions 
At Ease At Home is not liable for any loss due to damage to property, self or disposition of items. The Client retains full responsibility, unless gross negligence or intentional damage has been proven.
Items for Disposal 
As an additional service by At Ease At Home will, at the Client’s request, transport items for disposal to the appropriate locations.  Whether by donation, recycling, shredding or trash should At Ease At Home take items, they may dispose of said items at their sole discretion.  Client may elect to dispose of items personally as well. 
Travel Time 
Forty (40) minutes of round trip travel time is complimentary (from Ann Arbor’s West Side).  Any additional travel time is billed at our standard hourly rate.  Travel time between work sites is billed at our standard hourly rate.  Travel fees may be waived at the sole discretion of management.  
Time of Performance 
At Ease At Home does our best to complete the work in a timely manner, however, all parties agree that time is not of the essence to complete any agreed upon work.  While we do our best to work expediently, we also take into consideration the Client’s emotional, physical, and mental needs.  We will adjust our speed of work for the best interest of the Client. If any provision of this contract is held unenforceable, then such provision will be modified to reflect the parties’ intention. All remaining provisions of this contract shall remain in full force and effect.  
Photo Release
The Client releases all rights to before and after photos, to be used by At Ease At Home for marketing purposes, including but not limited to website, social media, educational presentations, and pamphlets. Client identity and confidentiality will always be top priority in regards to photo usage. 
I have read, understand and fully agree to the above terms and understand and agree that the services are being performed in accordance with the above items. By scheduling organizing services, I am agreeing to these terms.
